Zapped! in July

Welcome again to summer on Upstreet! This summer we are talking about what it means to be Zapped! We learned in June that one way we can show we've been Zapped by God's power is by helping others. We are going to live that out in the month of July by bringing in school supplies for Cleveland Road Elementary School. Cleveland Road is only about 5 miles/10 minutes down the road from Athens Church, so it is such a great opportunity to connect with and support our neighboring community. 

Some of our staff had the opportunity to serve lunch to the school's faculty and they were so appreciative and thankful for us being there and we were so blessed by the opportunity to serve them. It is going to be so amazing to watch our church, specifically the children of our church, partner with Cleveland Road by bringing in school supplies for the children there. On Upstreet we have high expectations for the influence this project can have on children in the city of Athens both at our church and at the elementary school. It would be a great example to the Upstreet kids if we as volunteers show we have been Zapped by bringing in school supplies!!


There will be a display up at the entrance of Upstreet starting July 1st and that is where we will be placing all the school supplies that come in. We hope you're excited as we are about this! Thank you for giving your time and energy to investing in kids on Upstreet! You are making such a huge impact on children's lives. Keep sharing the love of Jesus with them and helping them grow in their faith!
