We had an AMAZING month in August, talking about the big idea of Endurance: standing strong! We have heard story after story after story of kids who really grasped the concept of the armor of God, and it is so exciting to have tangible evidence of the work God is doing in the hearts of our elementary students!
August flew by, and it is already time for our next big idea! The entire month of September, we will be talking about
HONESTY: telling the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.
Honesty is a BIG DEAL. Honesty is not about what we do, but who we are on the inside. Honesty is a character trait that is essential for us to teach kids about because we want them to grow up knowing that integrity is wise in every aspect of their lives!
Our memory verse for this month:
"The Lord detests lying lips, but he delights in men who are truthful."
[Proverbs 12:22]
Please join us in praying for the children of UpStreet, that they would sing a song, hear a Bible story, or have a conversation with their small group leader this month that shows them a little bit more about who God is and how he wants them to live.
