Survey Says...

Hey UpStreet Team!
I just wanted to take a second to tell you how much we appreciate you filling out the survey this month. We really do take all the comments into consideration.

Here are a few things we are working on because you told us we should:
1. Worship- we had a lot of people say that worship isn't as engaging as it could be.
What we are doing to fix that: A) making sure all the WLs have access to lyrics and songs in plenty of time to learn the words.
B) Meeting with some of the leaders to create super-fun motions for all the songs we sing on UpStreet. (A daunting task, but well worth it!)
What you can do to help: Small group leaders... get excited! The kids look up to you more than anyone else in the room, so when you participate, they want to participate!
Here's a comment that a worship leader wrote in the June survey:
"The kids know the leaders better and look up to them so seeing the leaders engaged and having high energy will really influence the kids."

2. Kid Participation- Many of you said that we need to get the kids more involved in Large Group.
What we are doing to fix that: Making sure that there is at least one opportunity each Large Group for a child to participate in Large Group. Wether that means helping lead motions for the songs, answering a question into the microphone, volunteering for a game, or something else, we agree with you; these kids need to feel like they have a part in Large Group!
What you can do to help: Encourage your kids to listen to the story so that they can be ready to participate! If they know that there will be an opportunity for them to shine in front of their peers, they will be much more attentive.

Thank you so much for giving us your opinions. They really do make a difference! And YOU make a difference in the lives of these kids. Every time you serve, every time you sing the songs, every time you talk to a child on UpStreet, you are helping to lead them into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. UpStreet would not exist without you!
