Determination

"Let us keep on running the race marked out for us." Hebrews 12:1, NIrV

This month, our virtue on UpStreet is determination. Determination is "deciding it's worth it to finish what you've started." What a great virtue to start the new year!
I believe that this virtue could change the way kids live. Imagine if, instead of giving up on a hard subject or homework, a 9 year old is determined to learn. Or, what if a 3rd grader shows determination on their sports team, even if they aren't the best athlete? How about deciding that it's worth it to finish the chores that you started?
If UpStreet children can learn determination now, how much easier their lives will be in middle and high school! We want kids to know that because they can trust God no matter what, they should finish what they start, even when it's hard.

As you're praying this month, would you pray that kids on UpStreet will choose determination over giving up? Pray that they will believe wholeheartedly that they can trust God, no matter what. By praying for them, and by showing up Sunday mornings, you are leading children into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. Thank you!
