Wow! UpStreet Family Style was a HUGE success. Thank you to every one of you that came and helped. We had a great time, and so many families showed up to learn how to take a step back before their monster attacked! Some people who haven't been to UpStreet before even came by to see the show.
I am blown away at how many of you came early, stayed late, and worked so hard to pull this off! Thank you! You made it possible for kids to invite unchurched friends and spend a night with their families learning about Self Control together. I love that we created an environment where families could learn together; kids and their parents sat on the floor together to hear that they need to make the wise choice! It's amazing to think how different some of our lives, as adults, would be now if we had had a place like that to grow with our parents.
With out first big family experience behind us, the UpStreet team is looking forward to the next big opportunity! We can't wait to have our next Family Style later this semester, but it's so important to remember that we have the opportunity to parter with parents to lead their children into a growing relationship with Jesus each and every Sunday.
Thank you all for making these kids a priority in your own life; you really are changing the trajectory of families' lives all over Athens! THANK YOU!
